CIMA Business Game 2025, Supported by BDO in Ukraine: How Students Pave the Way into the Profession

In early December, the 6th international CIMA Business Game, supported by BDO in Ukraine, was successfully completed. This important event marked a milestone in the professional development of future financial specialists.

Throughout the month, participants immersed themselves in the world of real-life business challenges, showcasing their strategic thinking, creativity and analytical abilities. They worked on complex cases, sought unconventional solutions and developed their teamwork abilities. This experience was an interesting challenge for the students and an important step towards their future careers.

This year, the CIMA Business Game united students from numerous Ukrainian higher education institutions. The following companies are the top three in terms of the participants:

• Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman — 359 students
• Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University — 240 students
• State University of Trade and Economics — 193 students

 

These universities were presented with prizes by BDO in Ukraine: modern tablets and power banks, items that are highly relevant nowadays. In total, hundreds of young people were given the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities by solving real business problems.

The highlight of the event was the announcement of the winners. The most successful candidates, who demonstrated perseverance and a high level of knowledge, were given the opportunity to undertake a paid internship at BDO in Ukraine and a special bonus — career consultations with a specialist in a particular service line. Such consultations will be of great assistance in order to:

• Understand the real market requirements and expectations of employers operating in the fields of finance, auditing and consulting.
• Create a personal development plan to achieve your professional goals faster.
• Get advice from practitioners who work with clients on a daily basis and know which skills are most valued.
